Just to update on the progress of the fall/winter issue of
otto, one of the things the board has decided to do is to wait until October to produce this issue, in the hopes that we may have more content to include. With the start of a semester at Tunxis, and the summer vacations over, we are hopeful to see some more submissions, and rather than put out a lightweight issue, allow the time to receive and edit to produce a more professional magazine.
I do have the cover, drawn by local artist Diane Geras(amovich, which she obviously doesn't include as her full name), and I had hoped to scan it in immediately and give you all a sneak peek but unfortunately, with all the computer upgrades going around here, the scanner I now find does not work with Windows XP, and I'll either have to get a new one, or hook it to one of the four machines that still has Win 98 in it, install the Photoshop software if necessary, or somehow transmit the image to one of the other more sophisticated computers. It is a nice, simple image of the season, and I hope to show it to you shortly either here at the otto website or gracing the cover of otto No. 2 next month.
If you have a story or review to submit--please e-mail me at ottolit@comcast.net asap!
